Luma Via is a community-based mental health clinic that primarily provides Comprehensive Community Services (CCS). CCS is a voluntary Medicaid-funded program for individuals with diagnosed mental health and/or substance use concerns. To qualify for CCS, individuals must be enrolled in Wisconsin Medicaid (BadgerCare or another Medicaid program).

CCS offers a comprehensive, wraparound approach to care focused on psychosocial rehabilitation and recovery. In addition to traditional mental health and substance use treatment, our CCS agency provides services such as care coordination, advocacy, skill development, resource navigation, employment support, housing support, and other individualized services designed to help people thrive in their daily lives and communities. At our clinic, we also provide group curriculum related to emotional regulation, chronic stress, trauma, and anxiety. Be sure to scroll down and explore the interactive tool on our HOMEPAGE to learn more about the services we offer and how we can tailor support to meet your unique goals, strengths, and needs.

We provide services for youth to adults throughout Dane County CCS program. We are actively taking new clients. Feel free to write our clinic director for any questions you may have. Her email is ru@lumaviamentalhealth.com

In addition to CCS services, Luma Via founder Ru Nataraj, MSW, LCSW, offers private-pay psychotherapy and private pay interpersonal therapy group curriculum. Her areas of specialization include ADHD, executive functioning, midlife transitions, relationship and family stress, racial or identity based stress, PTSD, complex trauma, chronic overwhelm, and supporting high-achieving individuals navigating complex personal and professional demands. Please email Ru@lumaviamentalhealth.com for more information regarding this.

Why We Started Luma Via
60%+
Trauma is Widespread
Over 60% of Wisconsin adults have experienced at least one Adverse Childhood Experience (ACE).
Gap
The System Gap
Finding a provider who truly understands trauma is the biggest barrier to healing for many Wisconsin residents.
You.
The Label Problem
In large systems, too many people feel treated as a diagnosis first and a human second. We built Luma Via to change that.
What It Means to Be Truly Seen
Your Story Over Your Score
We don't look for what's wrong with you. We look to understand what happened to you — and what you want for your future.
No Clinical Masks Required
You don't have to act professional or hide your struggle here. We meet you exactly as you are — on your best day or your hardest.
Identity Honored
Your race, identity, and background shape your mental health. Being seen means honoring your whole self — without you having to explain it.
What Trauma-Informed Actually Looks Like
Emotional Choice
You are always in the driver's seat. If a topic feels too heavy today, we pivot. You set the pace, always.
Collaboration, Not Control
We sit on the same side of the table. We don't prescribe a life for you — we help you build the one you want.
Repairing the Past
If care has hurt you before, we make it our mission to prove it can feel different. We model this with you, every step of the way.
